VMAT SX2

Four (4) arc VMAT technique was chosen and 4 almost complete arcs were used. This plan was made on Halcyon with the MLC in SX2 mode and AcurosXB v17.0.  Plan created using the RapidPlan HSWBv2 model seen below with convergence mode: extended and MU objective enabled with Minimum MU set to 1600.  Full details in clinical description document packaged with the RapidPlan model or at the PDF link below.

The plan challenge plan quality metric grading criteria was recreated using the ESAPI PlanScoreCard tool.  However, Max Dose structure isn't supported by PlanScoreCard so the metric scorecard above is out of 145 not 150.  However, the max point dose was in the CTV and by this scorecard tool, the score out of 150 would have been 147.87.  That score would have been higher than 100% of the cases submitted in that year’s challenge  This is even more compelling due to the fact this plan was created in a single button press with the HSWBv2 model following guidline for SIB use -- not a single manual tweak was made to this plan out side of adding the margins to the PTV_opt structure and manually entering a min and max dose for the PTVboost.
